Everyday seems like we tend to use keyboard for typing especially for those who use computer and laptop everyday. Maybe some of you knew the basic keyboard shortcut keys. In this blog post, I would like to share with you 22 tricks you must try and will save your time doing your job in front of computer or laptop.

Here we go...

opening and closing Microsoft office documents

Ctrl + N  => create a new document

Ctrl + O => open a new document

Ctrl + S = > save a document

F12 => save as

moving text around

Ctrl + A  => select all

Ctrl + X  => cut

Ctrl + C  => copy

Ctrl + V  => paste

Ctrl + A + C + N + V => copy all and paste into a neew doc

jumping through text

Shift + Arrows  => select text where cursor is placed

Ctrl + Home  => move cursor to start of doc

Ctrl + End  => move cursor to end doc

grabbing text

Shift + Home  => select whole line left of cursor

Shift + End  => select whole line right of cursor

fixing a mistake

Ctrl + Z  => undo

Ctrl + Delete  => delete word after cursor

Ctrl + Backspace  => delete word before cursor

using the interwebs

Ctrl + T  => open a new tab

Ctrl + L  => jump to address bar

switching and closing tabs

Alt + Tab  => quickly switch programs

Ctrl + F4  => quickly close window

Windows + D  => quickly return to desktop
