Technical Visit for 7th International Pineapple Symposium 2010

The day was Thursday, 15 July 2010. Location Pusat Pembangunan Teknologi Tanaman Nanas Alor Bukit, Pekan Nanas, Pontian. I arrived around 10.00am at pineapple farm. The air was fresh. Felt so energetic. My duty was to assist the delegates at harvesting plot for Giant Morris on peat soils.

All together 6 buses with almost 400 delegates. They were very happy and enjoyed themselves experiencing on how to harvest pineapples using conventional method.

After that, they went to the Stesen Janaplasma Nanas (Pineapple Station) which is located in the middle of the farm. Planting almost 60 variety of pineapple species. They had fun looking at the staff planting pineapple, eating pineapple, walking around the the station, took photos, jumping on the smooth peat soils and others. I was happy and a bit tired. Lots of things to let you know but did not know how to describe. Come and have a look at the photos.

p/s : Went home happily, although I was very extremely tired. I was glad that the delegates expressed their love of coming to our farm. Hoping that they have this memorable experience.
