Be Thankful

You just woke up,

so be thankful you are alive,

There are people who will never wake up again,
You get out of bed, and take a step,
Be thankful you can, there are those who can't walk , Amen.

You go and eat your breakfast after you are dressed,
Be thankful that you can do these things too,
There are some who have to be spoon- fed,
Or who can't dress themselves like you do,

There is so many things that we take for granted,
We should be thankful and always appreciate what we have,
Say a prayer of thanks when you open your eyes each day,
You are alive, a gift from God, so be appreciative and glad
